Road trip in the south of Iceland

Hey, I will be in Iceland for a week in the end of August. My plan is to get a rental car at Keflavik Airport in the evening of 26/08, and then driving around the South of Iceland. I have to be back in Reykjavik in the morning of the 02/09. It's kind of a low budget trip (as much as that works in iceland), so my plan is to sleep in a tent or cheap hostels.
