A Trip to Hokkaido

I'm planning to visit Hokkaido, Japan by the end of this month. There's a very attractive place I'd love to visit, Kaminokoike （神の子池）. However, it's nearly impossible to go there by public transportation. So, I'm looking for 2-3 travel buddies to go with me by renting a car. The whole trip takes around 5 hours.
