What happens after I invite someone to my trip?

The traveler you invite will receive a notification with details of your trip. The traveler can then decide whether he/she will accept or reject it. You will be notified about both of these actions.

*you need a premium membership to use this function. If you invite a traveler to a trip when you are on a free membership, your invite will be delivered only after you upgrade.

How many invitations can I send with premium membership?

You can send unlimited invitations during your premium membership.

How many messages can I send with premium membership?

You can send unlimited messages during your premium membership.

What is incognito mode?

If you have incognito mode turned on your profile and trips do NOT appear in search results and you can browse profiles and trips anonymously. Only travelers who you send messages to/invite to your trip/join their trip can see your profile and contact you.

If you, for some reason, don’t want your profile picture and trip to be visible, turn on the incognito mode and contact only travelers you like. Or you can just use it for browsing profiles and trips anonymously.

How do I turn on/off email notifications?

You can turn on/off all email notifications in your profile (Settings/My Account). If you click on unsubscribe link in any email, you will be also redirected to this page.

How do I turn on/off Facebook messenger notifications?

You can turn on/off Facebook messenger notifications in your profile (Settings/My Account).

Facebook notifications allow you to receive information about new messages and invitations in Messenger so you do not miss out on anything.

How do I turn off Free trial?

If you decide during your free trial that you do not wish to proceed to premium membership, you can easily turn your free trial off. You can do it from your profile in Settings/Billing.

Can I delete my account?

If you no longer want to be on TripGiraffe, you can always decide to delete your profile. You can delete your account by clicking on a red button “Delete account” which is located in your profile (Settings/My Account).

Can I report spam/abuse messages?

If you get spam or abusive message, you can report the traveler directly from the message thread. Once we receive a report, we will review it and ban all users violating our terms and conditions.
