Wildlife photography in Costa Rica
14. 1. - 31. 1. 2027 (18 day trip)
Costa Rica
In January 2027 I plan a two-week wildlife photography trip to Costa Rica. This will be based in four or five lodges covering a variety of habitats including lowland rainforest, cloud forest and wetland. The country is a tropical paradise for birds, with over 800 species, and has well-developed infrastructure. Target species for photography include hummingbirds and bats in flight using multi-flash setups, toucans, resplendent quetzals, sloths, monkeys, frogs and insects. I am looking for one travelling companion to accompany me. You will need to be fit, comfortable with your chosen area of photography and good company. Costs will be shared equally between us. I have been to Costa Rica before and will handle planning/logistics. Naturally I will share my relevant experience and knowledge so we both return with superb photographs and memories.
