I plan to spend about a year traveling through all 50 U.S. states in stages. The journey will begin in the Northeast, where I’ll visit New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C., to experience America’s history, culture, and urban charm; then I’ll head south along the East Coast, passing through the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida, to enjoy the coastal scenery and experience Southern life. Next, I’ll head to Tennessee, Texas, and Louisiana to sample local cuisine and listen to country music and jazz. Afterward, I’ll travel through the Midwest, visiting Chicago, the Great Lakes, and the vast farmlands to experience a more peaceful and down-to-earth way of life. The western leg of the trip will include Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. I plan to go on road trips, hike, camp, and take photos along the way, taking in the deserts, snow-capped mountains, forests, and the Pacific Coast. Finally, I’ll fly to Alaska and Hawaii, where I’ll see glaciers and the Northern Lights in Alaska and enjoy the sun, beaches, and volcanic landscapes in Hawaii. This trip is not just about checking off all 50 states; it’s also about meeting different people, experiencing local cultures, sampling regional cuisines, and gaining a deeper understanding of the real and diverse United States through the stories and memories I’ll create along the way.

Places I want to see: I’d most like to visit New York to experience the vibrancy of a bustling metropolis, go to Washington, D.C., to learn about American history, and explore Boston and the charming coastline and fall scenery of New England. Heading south, I’d like to visit Tennessee to admire the Great Smoky Mountains, go to New Orleans to experience the jazz culture, and then head to Florida to enjoy Miami, Key West, and the beautiful beaches. In the West, I’m most looking forward to Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Zion National Park, and the Rocky Mountains. I also want to take a road trip along California’s Highway 1, passing through Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the Pacific Coast. In addition, I’d like to visit Seattle, Chicago, the quaint towns of Texas, and the vast, tranquil countryside of the Midwest. Finally, I absolutely must visit Alaska to see the glaciers and the Northern Lights, and then head to Hawaii to admire the volcanoes, tropical rainforests, and enchanting island sunsets.

Things I want to do: What I’d love most is to experience a real cross-country road trip, taking in cities, coastlines, forests, deserts, and snow-capped mountains along the way. I want to hike, camp, and take photos in national parks; observe wildlife in Yellowstone; watch the sunset at the Grand Canyon; admire glaciers and the Northern Lights in Alaska; and go snorkeling, see volcanoes, and enjoy island life in Hawaii. In addition to the natural scenery, I also want to sample each state’s local cuisine, participate in local festivals, listen to country music, jazz, and the blues, and interact with locals to learn about the cultures and lifestyles of different regions. I also plan to visit historical sites, art museums, and quaint small towns; drive along the Pacific Coast; go out to sea in Florida; and document each state with photos and a travel journal. For me, this isn’t just a trip to check off all 50 states—it’s a journey to get to know the United States, enrich my life experiences, and create precious memories.
