Places I want to see: I’d love to visit Paris most of all—to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Palace of Versailles with my own eyes. I’d also like to stroll along the Seine and soak up Paris’s unique romantic and artistic atmosphere at a sidewalk café. I also want to visit the Normandy coast and Mont Saint-Michel, and tour the ancient, elegant castles of the Loire Valley; I’d like to explore the vineyards of Bordeaux and Burgundy to learn about France’s long-standing wine culture. Southern France is another place I’m most looking forward to visiting—I want to go to Provence to admire the lavender fields, and to Marseille, Cannes, and Nice to soak up the Mediterranean sun and experience the beauty of the Côte d’Azur. If I have enough time, I’d also like to go to Lyon to sample French cuisine, explore the colorful towns of Alsace, and visit the French Alps to admire the magnificent snow-capped mountain scenery. I want to see not only the famous attractions but also the quiet countryside, traditional markets, and historic streets brimming with stories.

Things I want to do: What I’d love most in Paris is to take a stroll along the Seine, visit the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay, admire classic art and jewelry designs, and find a corner café to leisurely enjoy the afternoon like a local. I’d also love to explore traditional French markets, sampling croissants, cheese, pastries, and regional specialties; visit vineyards in Bordeaux or Burgundy to learn about the winemaking process and participate in wine tastings. In the Loire Valley, I’d like to tour ancient castles and learn about their history; and in Provence, I’d love to cycle through the countryside and lavender fields. In southern France, I’d like to drive along the Côte d’Azur, take a stroll along the seafront in Nice, and experience the Mediterranean lifestyle near Cannes and Monaco. If I have the chance, I’d also like to learn how to prepare a traditional French dish, interact with locals, and document the scenery and stories I encounter along the way through photos and a travel journal.
