WHO AM I? 31, camera in hand, reasonably good at navigating foreign countries, and still convinced that getting slightly lost is part of the experience. I’m an experienced independent traveller, easy-going and not particularly interested in ticking off a checklist. I enjoy good conversations, spontaneous detours and the occasional “let’s just see where this road goes” moment. I’m looking for a travel buddy to share some adventures with – without needing to be attached at the hip 24/7.

Places I want to see: The rough plan is to start in Bangkok, head through the Isan and central Thailand, then make my way north to Chiang Mai for New Year’s Eve. From there, I might continue towards Nan. I’m deliberately keeping the route flexible, so if there’s a great place, a random recommendation or a tempting detour along the way, I’m very happy to change plans.

Things I want to do: WHAT DO I WANT TO DO? A bit of everything: explore temples and historic places, hike through mountains and nature, eat an unreasonable amount of Thai food, wander around local markets, take photos and discover places that aren’t necessarily on every tourist’s itinerary. I’m not looking for a party holiday – I’d rather have a great meal, see something interesting and wonder how we ended up somewhere completely unplanned.
