I am planning a trip to China and hope to spend a week or two experiencing the local culture and way of life. First, I intend to visit Beijing to see the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and Tiananmen Square, immersing myself in China's long history. Afterward, I plan to head to Shanghai to soak up the atmosphere of this modern metropolis and explore the Bund as well as its distinctive neighborhoods. If time permits, I would also like to visit Chengdu to sample the local cuisine and see the giant pandas, or go to Xi'an to view the Terracotta Warriors.
