I have always been wanting to do a backpacking trip to Europe but just couldn't find the time to do so due to my full-time job. But now that I am freelancing, I finally have the flexibility to do so! Hey Alexis. I’ll probably be in Europe from earlier May to July. I don’t have an itinerary yet but will probably spend most of my trip in Portugal, Spain, Wales and Ireland. Wales and Ireland because I made friends with a few people from those countries when I was traveling in SE Asia last fall who said they’d be happy to serve as unofficial tour guides if I come to visit them. I spent last summer touring from the Netherlands to Croatia so will probably stick to the west side of the continent and the British Isles this summer. My schedule will be flexible so if you might want to buddy up for Portugal, Spain, or the UK let me know and I can probably work with your schedule. I’ve been traveling almost non-stop since last summer and plan to keep doing so for another two years at least. I typically split my time between areas with interesting nature hikes and vibrant urban centers. I tend to end up finding a lot of beatiful waterfalls and fun cocktail bars & pubs along the way. :-). I’m currently about three weeks into a two month tour of Australia. You can take a look at my Facebook page to get a sense of my travel style. https://www.facebook.com/steve.brodsky.14 Let me know if you might want to coordinate parts of our respective trips and we’ll work something out. P.S. for what it’s worth, Berlin (especially the Kreuzberg neighborhood), Budapest and Split Croatia were the highlights of my trip last summer along with Krka Falls and Plitvice Lakes in Croatia. Dubrovnik is maybe the most beautiful city I’ve ever seen (almost everywhere you turn is a postcard perfect scene) but I didn’t find it as interesting as Split. There seemed to be more tourists than locals in Dubrovnik.
