Addis Ababa City Tour

Located in the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia is an inexhaustible source of wonders for travelers- a sprawling country of ancient African civilization, colorful festivals, spectacular landscapes, unique wildlife, diverse tribal culture and much more. Ethiopia is old ….old, beyond imaginations, dating back to the very beginnings of mankind. It is also the land of Queen of Sheba, a place of legendary rulers, fabulous kingdoms in ancient histories. With more than 80 different ethnic groups living together with a tradition as old as humanity itself, Ethiopia is a melting pot of cultures Mother Nature was in a playful mood when she created Ethiopia, the result is a land that varies greatly from one region to the other. It is completely a land of contrasts and extremes; a land of remote and wild places. Some of the highest and most stunning places on the African continent are found here, such as the jaggedly carved Simien Mountains, one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites - and some of the lowest, such as the hot but fascinating Danakil Depression, with its sulfur fumaroles and lunar-like landscape. This diverse ecosystem is a safe haven for different endemic fauna and flora. Addis Ababa, meaning “New Flower” is located in the foothills of the Entoto Mountain and was founded by Emperor Menelik the second in 1887. Addis Ababa is the capital and largest city of Ethiopia, and has become the economic center of Ethiopia with many international and regional organizations, considered to be the political capital of Africa, is the home of the African union (AU) & the united nations economic commission for Africa (UNECA). Whatever you want, you will find it at Addis, from sizzling entertainment, theatre extravaganza, world class hotels & restaurant to cater for all tastes. See the century city of Ethiopia; fantastic mixture of old &new, cultural &commercial centre, seat of government & for those who have limited time, the surroundings of Addis offer many interesting sites within easy reach. Whether one is a naturalist of a historian, geologist or photographer, musicians or other, there are wide arrays of possibilities to satisfy one’s particular interest & there are plenty of things to keep you occupied &satisfied in Addis Ababa.
