Hi Sue. I hope you haven’t left for this trip yet. Belarus, hand in hand with Russia, is waging a war against Ukraine. Both countries are also conducting a hybrid war against neighboring states and the EU. By entering Belarusian territory, you are by definition suspected of espionage and placed under surveillance. Any pretext is enough to have you arrested and imprisoned without trial. They will turn you into a hostage to be exchanged for their spies or into a useful idiot. I strongly advise against it.
