I love Italy. Love cities, but also scenery. Somewhat of a budget hotel person - don’t need a high priced room, but don’t want a hostel either - just a decent room in a good location at a decent price. Like to see the big attractions - you gotta see the Eiffel Tower - but also like to check out neighborhoods where locals live, eat, and drink. Restaurants and beer/wine are a very important part of travels.
Travel style
Solo or small group. I love to plan trips - so 100% guided tours aren’t my thing - they tend to stay on the tourist path too much. Usually will hop from town to town in a country - staying 2-3 nights at each place - so I can see more of the country. A stop at a beach for a while, or hiking to a waterfall or scenic lookout (Cinque Terra, Lake Como - beautiful spots)... but I also love cities.
