Liverpool is called the world capital of pop. This city offers a lot more than Beatles and hosts big-name performances at Echo Arena and events like Liverpool International Musical Festival and International Beatleweek. Beatles’ fans come here to visit the birthplace of the legendary English pop band. If you are a Beatles’ fan, there is nothing better than a Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour. It includes shops at the singers’ former homes, Strawberry Field and Eleanor Rigby’s gravesite.
Utah has produced many popular artists in the last decade that owe half of their success to the music venues of Salt Lake City. People from different countries come here for the experience of a lifetime. Many of these places are in small and unique spots located around the city. The city has been the home of multiple underground extreme metal music bands. Since the past ten years, the Salt Lake City Arts Council hosts its Twilight Concert Series every summer, which consists of a weekly concert and a market at Pioneer Park. If you are looking for amazing live bands in Utah, visit these events in demad.
Berlin has a long and fascinating music history as David Bowie used to live here. The city is still home to many classic clubs like Schokoladen in Mitte and SO36 in Kreuzberg. Berlin has a reputation for decadence, but it is also a city that has been in the spotlight for many years for its house music. Many locals now focus on the experimental music known as Echtzeitmusik. Some of it includes electronica, while the majority focuses on pop, rock, jazz, and improvisation. An underground bar Madame CLAUDE features live Echtzeitmusick on every Monday night.
If you want to experience something else other than the city’s techno or experimental music, you can go to White Trash Fast Food, a tattoo parlor, and burger joint. This place appeals to the rock ‘n’ roll crowd.
Many people became familiar with Cuban music after the 1999’s “Buena Vista Social Club.” Music lovers today travel to Havana to experience the pre-revolutionary son-style music, along with Latin Jazz, rumba, and timba. They can also be heard in the streets and bars of the city. One of the best places to watch the musicians is at Salon Rosada in Marianao. You can listen to some amazing tunes from a balcony while overlooking people who are dancing. Insight Cuba offers Jazz in Havana, an organized tour that allows the visitors to experience the many forms of music in the country, and meet the musicians who have made some of its most famous tunes.
There is not a single moment in a day or night when the rhythm of the cubaton music does not pierce the air. Music is everywhere in the capital of Cuba and is played by buskers on street corners, coming out of the bars, clubs, and windows of the houses. People here love music as much as they love to dance.
Vienna is a must-see place for people who love classical music. Vienna is rightfully known as the City of Music. Many musicians have lived or made music here, including Beethoven, Brahms, Strauss, Mahler, Mozart, Haydn, and Schubert. There is an annual performance season in the city that lasts from September to June, along with nine festivals that happen every year.
Visit the Vienna Philharmonic if you can for a world-class recital by the esteemed orchestra. You can visit Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s residence, attend the opera, enjoy the melodious tunes at a Viennese concert cafe, or enjoy one of the many free live performances in the summer that are put on by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
Any student of history, or a fan of the counterculture movement of the 60s and 70s, would know about the musical importance of San Francisco. The city was the heart of the hippie movement in the 60s, with names like Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead playing at The Fillmore, which still hosts many great musicians today.
